72 IAS officers transferred in Gujarat

In a major reshuffle, the Gujarat Government today transferred 72 junior and middle level IAS officers and promoted some of them.

Among them, Managing Director of Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb) P Swaroop has been transferred as Collector of Sabarkantha district, a notification from General Administration Department (GAD) said.

Swaroop has been replaced by Roopwant Singh, currently Director of Prohibition and Excise in Ahmedabad.

Hareet Shukla, Director of Civil Supplies and Ex-officio Additional Secretary in Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, has been appointed the new MD of Gujarat Vij Company Ltd in Mehsana.

Vinod Rao, Collector of Vadodara, has been named Director of National Rural Health Mission, Gandhinagar. He has been replaced by Avantika Singh Aulakh, the current Collector of Bharuch.
 

Others who have been transferred include District Collectors, District Development Officers, Municipal Commissioners and Deputy Municipal Commissioners.
