Eight persons were killed, while 324 others are being given treatment, after suffering heatstroke in Rajasthan.
Seven persons in Jodhpur and one in Jalore have died due to heatstroke whereas 324 people were given treatment at hospitals in Chittorgarh, Dholpur, Nagaur, Tonk, Bundi, Bhilwara, Banswara and Churu.
State Health Minister Rajendra Rathore reviewed the heat situation in a meeting and directed the officials to make appropriate arrangements for the outbreak of seasonal diseases.
The control rooms were also asked to remain active round the clock and send response team on information of outbreak of any disease.
