8 killed in roof collapse in northwest Pakistan

At least eight persons, including women and children, were killed tonight when the roof of their house collapsed due to heavy rains and floods in tribal region in northwest Pakistan.

The incident occurred in Tani Qamar area of north waziristan agency bordering Afghanistan.

According to officials, the torrential rains played havoc in various parts of the agency and water entered into several houses, forcing people to flee.
