8-year old boy killed in road accident in Phagwara

An eight-year-old boy was killed when a vehicle hit him while crossing the National highway-1 between Phagwara and Chak Hakeem village, police said today.

Jai Kishore, a resident of Chak Hakeem village was returning home after attending a religious fair when he was hit by the vehicle on Wednesday, they said.

Kishore died on spot, police said, adding, a case has been registered against the unknown driver.
