8 yr old girl killed as speeding car hits her

: An eight-year-old girl was killed on the spot when she suddenly crossed the road to meet her father who had left her at school and was hit by a speeding car, police said.

The father was waiting at a bus stand when the girl crossed the road to meet her father who was waiting for a bus at a bus stop.

The car had arrived here from Coimbatore, they said.
