9 IIS officers transferred: I and B ministry order

Nine Indian Information Service (IIS) officers have been transferred, according to an official order of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The transfers or posting of senior and junior grades of IIS Group B officers were with immediate effect, the order stated.

The order was made available on the ministry's website today.

Since November, there have been a number of transfers of IIS officers.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore had earlier said that senior IIS officers were transferred on "functional requirement and on recommendation of the Civil Services Board, which considers all aspects before recommending the same.
