97 bottles of illicit liquor seized

In a special drive, excise department teams conducted raids at different locations in the district and seized 97 bottles of illicit liquour.

After the raids conducted yesterday jointly by excise teams from Kota and Bundi districts one person was arrested and seven others booked under Excise Act.

The raids were carried out in Kalpuriya Mal, Gadhegal, Kankariya Doli, Dhola ki Jhopadiya, and Pili ki Khan villages, in the district, excise officer Shiv Singh said.

The raids were conducted as part of an ongoing special two-month 'zero tolerance' campaign towards illicit liquour, Singh said.

The campaign will continue till July 31, he said.
