Over 450 cartons of illicit liquor were seized from two separate places in Shamli district while being allegedly smuggled into the state, police said today.
458 cartons of illicit liquor were seized in two places in Shamli district during checkinglast evening, SP Vijai Bhushan said.
The police intercepted a vehicle during a checking procedure and seized 330 cartons of liquor. The accused, however escaped from the scene, he said, adding a case has been registered against unidentified persons in this connection.
