At least a dozen persons were injured while crops were damaged due to heavy hailstorm followed by rains in different parts of the district, a senior official said.
"Nearly a dozen persons were injured while crops were damaged due to hailstorm," District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar said.
He said hundreds of birds, including national bird peacock, were also killed due to the hailstorm.
"We will try to provide all possible help to farmers. Re- survey would be conducted to assess extent of damage done to crop in different parts of district. Report of hailstorm in Raya Sadabad route, Naujheel, Vrindaban, Chhatta, Nandgaon have reached so far," Kumar said.
