A K Pujari assumes charge of SAIL CMD

Medium Small and Micro Enterprises (MSME) Secretary A K Pujari today assumed charge as the chairman of steel giant SAIL.

Pujari is also holding the additional charge of Steel Secretary.

"Pujari has assumed the charge of CMD, Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) with effect from October 1, 2015. He is a 1980 batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre," SAIL said in a statement.

His notable postings in the state include Principal Secretary IT and Biotechnology, Managing Director Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Corporation, Registrar of Bangalore University, it added.

At the Centre, Pujari has served as the Director General of Foreign Trade and Secretary in the Mines Ministry.
