Abandoned bag found at Howrah Railway station

An abandoned bag with as many as 18 pistols was today found at Howrah railway station, triggering panic among the commuters, police said.

Passers-by noticed a bag lying at platform number eight and informed the police. The GRPF team found the bag and seized 18 pistols of 9 mm, they said.

Nobody has claimed the bag so far and we are yet make any arrest in this connection, police said, adding investigation is underway.
