Accountant abducted for ransom

An accountant of a road construction company was allegedly abducted by unidentified persons in Madhepura district of Bihar, police said today.

The accountant, identified as Chhotu Kumar, was abducted from Bathan Parsa village in the district last night, police said.

"Kumar is an employee of Jai Matadi Construction Company and he was working with some of the company's projects in the area. The abductors have asked for ransom," said Shankarpur Station House Officer (SHO) Mahesh Rajak.

The SHO said the police is conducting raids to rescue Kumar.
