Actor Tara among three nominated to Legislative Council

Former Rajya Sabha MP, K B Shanappa and former MLA M D Lakshminarayan (both BJP) were the others whose nomination to the upper house was approved today by Governor H R Bhardwaj.

Bhardwaj told reporters here that he had cleared the proposal for nomination of the three members to the Council sent by Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar.

Tara currently head the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy and Lakshminarayana, the Karnataka Handloom Development Corporation.
