An advocate succumbed to injuries after he was stabbed by another lawyer inside the Manamadurai Court complex in the district, police daid today.
Police said the Ramnath was allegedly stabbed under the ear lobe by Ponmuthuramalingam, another advocate, after a wordy duel beween them yestterday. It was said that the two had previous enmity.
He was given first aid at the government hopsital at Manamadurai and rushed to a private hospital where he died without responding to treatment.
Ponmuthuramalingam was arrested after he surrendered before the police.
