An advocate and his son here have been booked for allegedly raping a Dalit girl after which she got pregnant, police said today.

The girl is aged around 14-15 years and worked at the office of advocate M Sudhakar Reddy in Chaitanyapuri area here for the past few months. She alleged that Reddy and his 30-year-old son Bharat Reddy raped her several times and assaulted her when she resisted, they said.

A city-based Child Rights Association rescued the girl from the advocate's son and a complaint was yesterday lodged at Chaitanyapuri police station.

Following the complaint, a case was registered against the advocate and his son under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 376 (rape), and other provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Deputy Commissioner of Police (L B Nagar Zone) Tafseer Iqbal told PTI.

The girl has been sent for medical examination, the DCP said, adding they will soon arrest the accused duo, who are absconding.

"We have found their location...Efforts are on to nab them soon," Iqbal said.

Investigation in this connection is underway, he said.
