African journos visit Pusa Institute

A group of journalists from 45 African countries visited the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) here today and appreciated hi-tech green-house production of vegetables.

Senior editors and journalists from Africa visited IARI, better known as Pusa institute, on the sidelines of India-Africa Forum Summit.

"Media persons visited farms and laboratories of IARI to have a glimpse of research in frontier areas of agriculture and also appreciated hi-tech green-house production of vegetables," IARI said in a release.

IARI Director T Mohapatra briefed the delegation on major achievements of Indian agriculture and the key role that IARI played in creating success stories across the country.
