An alert Delhi Police constable has caught an off-duty Ola cab driver along with a murder convict out on parole while fleeing after snatching a cell phone in northwest Delhi's Adarsh Nagar area, police said today.
Constable Sombir chased and caught Ash Mohammad and Jakir Hussain who were escaping after snatching the mobile phone in Adarsh Nagar yesterday, said Milind Dumbere, Deputy Commissioner of Police (northwest).
"Ash Mohammad aka Ashu is on parole after being convicted in a murder case," said the officer.

Hussain, who drives Ola cab for a living, is involved in two cases of robbery and snatching. He is addicted to liquor, he said.
Also, constables of Adarsh Nagar police station Vikas and Naveen, with their skill in analysing CCTV footage, identified some suspects following which accused Ravi was arrested while a juvenile was apprehended in connection with a theft case of a high-end bike from Model Town area.
Interrogation of the duo led to arrest of their associates Shubham, Chintu and Pawan, the officer added.
Meanwhile, Ola did not immediately respond when reached out for its comment on the matter.
