Congress President Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi, former IPS officer KPS Gill and chairman of All-India Anti-Terrorist Front MS Bitta have been provided government accommodation under special provision from security point of view, Lok Sabha was told today.
In future, no government accommodation will be allotted to any private person on security considerations except to an SPG protectee, Minister of State for Urban Development Babul Supriyo said in a written reply in the House.
The security protectees will not be required to surrender their own house in Delhi in return of allotment of General Pool residential accommodation, he said.
Special licence fee shall be charged in respect of government accommodation provided to the security protectees including SPG protectees. Revised rates shall be charged from July 24, 2013.
