The Andhra Pradesh government today said it aims to achieve 15 per cent growth during 2016- 17.
The target was set in the meeting Chief Minister N Chadrababu Naidu had with the heads and secretaries of all departments here at the Secretariat today, a government statement said.
Naidu suggested setting up performance indicators on the lines of the Malaysian Government for monitoring performance of departments and sectors in the state government.

According to this, sectors will be evaluated based on red, yellow and green bands.
Recalling the disaster management efforts during recent incessant rains in Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa districts, the Chief Minister stressed on increasing storage capacity of water tanks, it said.
Underlining the need to revamp the delivery system and staffing for future, Naidu pointed out the dire need for integration among all the departments at state level, district, mandal as well as village level.
"In spite of allotting huge funds for welfare programs, delivery mechanism is weak. We need to speed this up and improve performance by ensuring delivery. Our approach has to be need-based and result-oriented," he was quoted as saying in the release.
The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction that agriculture and allied sectors performed well in this quarter.
He also stressed on the need to strengthen horticulture and fisheries, to achieve better results in the state.
Stressing on establishing a multi-pronged approach to strengthen skill development in the state, Naidu suggested appointing an agency to evaluate the state's position in skill management.
"Skill, knowledge, capacity building is crucial for achieving the double-digit growth", he added.
State ministers, members from 150 government departments, 33 secretaries, 20 ministries and local administrative agencies were present in the meeting, the release said.

Meanwhile, Naidu urged officials and public
representatives to take initiatives to bring the state on top in the country by 2029.
Naidu, Home Minister N Chinna Rajappa, Finance Minister Y Ramakrishnudu held a video conference with district collectors.
The Chief Minister urged officials and public representatives to prepare a strategy and take steps to keep Andhra Pradesh in the first position in the country by 2029, a government statement said.
Animal Husbandry department has shown development, steps are on to develop agriculture sector also, he said.
There were more development prospects in horticulture. So special focus is to be laid on the sector, he added.
He also said that for the first time in the country, river linkage was done with Pattiseema project in the state.
The wastage of Godavari water was linked with Krishna water and then it was diverted to drought prone Rayalaseema to solve drinking and irrigation water problem, the release said.
