Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda today paid tributes to the late Jaipal Singh Munda on his birth anniversary.
The senior BJP leader said the former Indian hockey team captain and member of the Constituent Assembly had also been the 'voice of tribals' who pitched for tribal cause in the Constituent Assembly.
"The ideals of Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda are still relevant," Munda said.

Jaipal Singh Munda told the Constituent Assembly that tribals be provided with special mechanism to enable them reach legislatures and other areas, Arjun Munda said.
Recalling observations made by Jaipal Singh Munda that tribal society was an example of maximum democracy, he said others should also follow.
The tribal society has equal rights irrespective of economic status, he added.
Jaipal Singh Munda, who captained the gold medal winning team in the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, was one of the members of the Constituent Assembly.
