Army jawan killed as service rifle goes off

An Army jawan was killed when his service rifle went off accidentally in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district today.

Sepoy Ram Kumar Tiwari was cleaning his rifle at the army camp when it went off accidentally at around 0940 hours, a Defence spokesman said.

Tiwari hailed from Raipur belt in Chhattisgarh, he said adding a court of inquiry had been ordered into the incident.
