Three members of banned Tamil Nadu Liberation Army arrested in connection with two cases, including planting of bombs behind a market-chain-store here earlier this year, today moved the Madras High Court seeking quashing of a lower court order extending their remand.
Thamilarasan, Kaviyarasan, and Kalai submitted that they were confined in prison for more than 90 days after their arrests in the cases.
Thamilarasan, Kaviyarasan and Kalai were arrested on February 10, March 10 and 14 respectively in connection with the cases.
The bombs were planted outside the market-chain-store on the Madurai-Melur highway here on February 10. Case was also filed against them for dropping inflammatory pamphlets near the house of former Union Home Minister P Chidambaram at Managiri in Sivaganga district a few days later.
A judicial magistrate court had on June 25 extended the period of their remand to 180 days.
