Artisans from India, Pakistan participate in UP exhibition

A handicrafts exhibition in which artisans from many places in India and Pakistan are participating is being held here for a week.

Artisans from Karachi, Lahore, Srinagar, Lucknow, Jaipur, Agra and other parts of India and Pakistan are participating in the exhibition organised by Uttar Pradesh Tourism at a hotel here, an official said today.

He said the exhibition begun on Friday and will go on for a week.

Deputy Director of UP Tourism Preeti Srivastava said this is the first time that such an exhibition is being organized in Western UP, which has handicrafts and food items of both the countries.
 

Moradabad Commissioner Subhash Sharma, who was the chief guest at the event, said this programme will help improve Indo-Pak relations and also benefit the artisans.
