Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland today posted nearly three-fold increase in net profit at Rs 449.7 crore for the third quarter ended December 2017.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 161.71 crore for the same period in the previous fiscal.
Total income of the company rose to Rs 7,151.12 crore for the third quarter, as compared with 4,854.03 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal, Ashok Leyland said in a statement.

"It has been an overwhelming performance and our robust growth exemplifies the technological leadership of Ashok Leyland," the company's MD Vinod K Dasari said.
Shares of the company today ended 1.98 per cent down at Rs 123.45 apiece on the BSE.
