Ashok Parnami set to be re-elected as Rajasthan BJP chief

Rajasthan BJP president Ashok Parnami is set to be re-elected as the party's state chief as he was the only candidate to file nomination for the post today.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Home Minister G C Kataria and Education Minister K C Saraf proposed and filed the nomination papers of Parnami in presence of poll observer Dinesh Sharma and state election officer Shyam Sunder Sharma at the state party office here, a spokesman said.

The organisational election results will be announced tomorrow. Parnami is Raje's loyalist and BJP MLA from Jaipur's Adarsh Nagar constituency.

The process of election of 25 state and central party functionaries was also completed and the results are likely to be announced tomorrow, he said.
 

BJP president Amit Shah is likely to be in Jaipur tomorrow for a party function, where Parnami may take charge.
