At stumps, opener Dheeraj Jadhav was batting on 73, while Tarjinder Singh was giving him company on 24 at the Conor Vayal Stadium.
Jadhav struck eight boundaries in 187-ball unbeaten knock. The next best scorer, Kunal Saikia, made 38 off 172 balls with the help of three boundaries and a six.
The Kerala bowlers did manage to tie the visiting side batsmen down with some tight piece of bowling but they could not manage to take as many wickets as they would have liked to.
