Assam chit fund company managing director and wife arrested

The managing director of a ponzi scheme company of Assam and his wife were arrested by Assam police from Barasat in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal today.

Police said 'Janapriya' chit fund managing director Chandan Das and his wife Sangeeta, who was also senior official of the company, were in hiding here.

The company operates at Lumding in Assam, the police said.
