Assembly adjourns

Puducherry Assembly was today

adjourned for September 26 within minutes of resumption of the session today following the death of wife of elder brother of Chief Minister N Rangasamy.

Speaker V Sabapathy announced adjournment of the House till September 26 and agenda meant for today's proceedings would be taken up on that day.

After reading out a couplet from Tirukural as had been the practice at the beginning of proceedings, the Speaker announced the necessity to adjourn the day's proceedings in view of the bereavement.
