An assistant engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department was killed after being run over by a train near Dhakniya railway station here, police said today.
The man was idenfied as Om Prakash Verma, 54, posted in Bundi's Lakhari town, Udhyog Nagar Police Station ASI Bhagwan Das Sharma said.
The assistant engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department was killed by a moving train yesterday near the railway station here. The police is trying to ascertain if it was an accident or suicide, he said.
A slip of paper was found on the deceased carrying his name and address which helped the police contact his family members, the ASI said.
The body was handed over to the family this morning following post-mortem, he said, adding that further investigation in the case was underway.
