Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Sekhar Basu today met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his official residence here.
In his meeting during his Bihar visit, Basu informed the Chief Minister about the latest technology to maintain the quality of Litchi and also its longevity so that it does not get damaged early, an Information and Public Relations Department release said.
They also discussed about the setting up of a Cancer institute in the state, it said.

People go outside the state for the treatment of cancer disease in large numbers, Kumar said.
On CM's request for setting up of a Cancer institute in Bihar, Basu said that he would take initiatives positively in this regard to open such facility so that the people of Bihar need not go outside for treatment, the release said.
