Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad today condemned the attack by Pakistani militants on a bus carrying BSF personnel in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur area and expressed grief over the death of two jawans in it.

Eleven personnel of the border guarding force have been injured in the attack.

"Ghulam Nabi Azad has strongly condemned the attack by Pakistani militants," a press release issued by his office said.

A suspected Pakistani terrorist was caught alive after militants today attacked the BSF convoy near Simroli, Udhampur on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.

"I congratulate the local police and Village Defence Committee members for their exemplary courage to nab one militant alive. This amply indicates the people are no more ready to bear such cowardly acts," said Azad.

He condemned another incident of bomb blast which took place in a school at Ganderbal area in which two young boys lost their lives and some received splinter injuries.

"I am deeply shocked to learn that heartless militants do not spare even young children studying in educational institutions," said Azad, who is also Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha.
