Azad condoles Haj tragedy

Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad today condoled the deaths of over 700 people in a stampede during the Haj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, Azad, Leader of Congress in Rajya Sabha, said he was saddened by the tragedy in Mina which also claimed atleast one Indian life and led to injuries to two others.

"It is an international tragedy that has unfortunately come on the eve of Id-ul-Zuha. All countries should come together in this moment of grief," he said.
