Balrampur Chini to invest Rs 175 cr in education sector

Balrampur Chini Mills, the country's second-largest sugar firm, today said its board has approved Rs 175 crore to finance educational activities over a period of five years.

The amount will be spend in tranches and in the first tranche, an investment of Rs 37.50 crore will be made in education sector, the company said in a BSE filing.

Balrampur Chini has 11 sugar factories in Uttar Pradesh, having an aggregate crushing capacity of 79,000 tonnes per day. It has three distilleries.
