Traffic came to a halt on the NH-33 in Hazaribagh for a few minutes when swarms of bees flew across the road, leaving their hives after the tremors were felt in the area.

"There are 24 hives in the three-storied Jeevan Jyoti Campus housing the LIC along the NH-33 and bees flew across the National Highway.

"The drivers and motor-cyclists stopped for a few minutes before the bees returned to the hives without harming any traveller," a district administration official said here.

Drivers rolled up the window panes to escape the bees, but the insects didn't harm and motor-cyclist, he said.
