Beheaded body of 5-year-old missing child found

The beheaded body of a five-year-old child was found near a drain here today with the arrest of his cousin and another youth for the murder, police said.

"Five-year-old Somveer had disappeared on Monday evening and had remained untraceable. The body was found after the boy's cousin confessed that he had kidnapped and later killed him along with an accomplice," SSP R K S Rathore said.

Rathore said the two youths had kidnapped Somveer for ransom but decided to kill him after the news of the boy's disappearance got spread in the village.

The body was found near a drain in Jatpura Nayabans village in a mutilated state, he said.
 

Both the accused have been arrested and booked under relevant sections of the IPC.
