Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today rolled out the 750th metro car manufactured by BEML for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation during his visit to the defence public sector undertaking here.
BEML is aiming at increasing the quantum of business in the Defence Sector and to cash in on emerging opportunities for its business in rail and metro segment and in high-end Mining Equipment, the company said.
On his maiden visit to BEML, Parikkar, accompanied by Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, also witnessed equipment demonstration of BEML Products like High Mobility Vehicle and various products of Excavators, Dozers and Wheeled Equipment.
