Bihar govt to celebrate centenary of "Champaran satyagraha"

Buoyed by fulsome praise received on observation of 350th Prakash Parva, the Bihar government would organise centenary celebration of Mahatama Gandhi's "Champaran satyagraha" against the British rule in 1917.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the centenary celebration of "Champaran satyagraha" would be celebrated on March 17 and 18.

The Father of the Nation had launched the agitation in Motihari against forced indigo plantation.
