Bihar: Man robbed of Rs 11.36 lakh

A man was today robbed of Rs 11.36 lakh at gun point by three unidentified persons here, police said.

Srikant Kumar, a private agent working for the railways, was robbed near Lakhnikhap village on NH-98 under Mufassil police station area.

"Kumar was headed to deposit the amount at the State Bank of India (SBI) when the three motorcycle-borne miscreants looted the cash from him, the sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) PN Sahu said.

They also took Kumar's vehicle when their own motorcycle broke down, Sahu said.

Kumar had collected Rs 10.80 lakh from Anugrah Narayan Road railway station, Rs 24,000 from Phesar railway station, Rs 24,000 and Rs 32,000 from Jhakim station. The entire amount was realised from the sale of tickets, the officer said.
