Birthday-boy goes missing after falling in drain

A 10-year-old boy went missing on his birthday after falling in a drain filled with rain water at Northen Town locality under Bistupur police station today, the police said.

The incident occurred when the victim, identified as Sameer, along with his two brothers were playing near the drain during rain that lashed the city this afternoon.

The boy was washed away by the fast moving water in the drain and rescue operation was on to find him, the police said.
