Seeking to drive a wedge in the UPA alliance in Bihar, the BJP today alleged that Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi had insulted RJD supporters by neither inviting their leader Lalu Prasad to his rally nor mentioning his name even once.

"Congress is fighting in 12 seats in Bihar piggy back riding on RJD but is insulting its supporters as Rahul Gandhi at his maiden rally in the state at Aurangabad yesterday did not even appeal to people to vote for the RJD," senior BJP leader Sushil Modi said on Twitter.

He said while Prasad was pitching for Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister the latter had failed to pay any respect to him.

"Aurangabad rally proved that UPA alliance in the Lok Sabha election in Bihar is such where ally has no 'izzat' (respect)," the former Bihar deputy chief minister said.

"RJD voters should ponder whether they would like to make Rahul Gandhi who hurt their leader PM or teach him a lesson by voting against him," the BJP leader said.

Stating that the BJP respected NDA partners, he said that LJP President Ramvilas Paswan shared the dais with Narendra Modi at Sasaram while Rashtriya Lok Samata Party head Upendra Kushwaha was present with him at the Gaya public meeting.

Sushil Modi whose hostility with Lalu Prasad was known claimed RJD supporters were always opposed to Congress.
