BJP leader assaulted by unidentified men in West Siang

A BJP leader was assaulted by unidentified persons in in Arunachal Pradesh's West Siang district, police said Tuesday.

The BJP mandal president of Liromoba constituency Bajom Bogo, was assaulted by a group of unidentified men in Aalo, the district headquarters town on Monday, Superintendent of Police, P Mari Riba said.

A group of around 40 unidentified youths attacked Bogo at around 6 pm on Monday, the SP said, adding an FIR has been lodged at the Aalo police station.

"It is an offence and has to be dealt with strictly," the SP added.
