On a day when INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala appeared before a court in Delhi, the party's senior leader Abhay Singh Chautala alleged that BJP was misusing CBI against the ailing leader to stop him from campaigning in Haryana for the October 15 assembly polls.
"The BJP has misused the CBI to halt the 'chunaavi rath' (poll campaign) of the INLD chief to prevent him from meeting the people of the state," Abhay said while addressing public rallies in support of the party candidates from Maham, Hansi, Narnaund, Assandh and Gharonda.
"People of Haryana should press the 'spectacle' (INLD election symbol) button on the EVM to vote in large numbers in the party's favour so that the security deposits of the rival parties are fortified," he said.

"He (Om Prakash Chautala) himself was supposed to address these public meeting today, but since he was to appear in the Court, I have been asked to convey his message to people," Abhay said.
"During the UPA regime, BJP attacked Congress saying the CBI was a puppet in the hands of the Centre and it was not the Central Bureau of Investigation but Congress Bureau of Investigation. But unfortunately, BJP is also misusing the CBI the same way Congress did," he said.
Abhay said that both Congress and BJP were now extremely nervous as the "wave" was in favour of INLD.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was busy with saving his party's sinking ship in Haryana instead of taking care of "the most important issues of firing on Indian side by Pakistan's troops from across the border and incursion by Chinese troops".
He said, "The kind of statements Modi is issuing do not go well with the stature of the PM. The statements reflect that Modi is acting just as a BJP leader."
Abhay said both Congress and BJP are two sides of a same coin and the state could develop only if its reigns are in hands of the INLD.
