BJP wins Naxal-hit Bastar seat in Chhattisgarh

BJP's Dinesh Kashyap today won Naxal-affected Bastar Lok Sabha seat in Chhattisgarh by a margin of over 1.20 lakh votes.

Kashyap, a sitting MP, defeated Congress' Deepak Karma by 1,24,359 votes.

Kashyap got a total of 3,85,829 votes, Karma secured 2,61,470, Communist Party of India's candidate Bimala Sori got 33,883 and Aam Aadmi Party's Soni Sori secured 16,903 votes.
