Black buck dies after being hit by vehicle in Maharashtra

A black buck died after being apparently hit by a vehicle today in Beed district of Maharashtra.

The fully grown black buck was found dead near a road at Lokhandi savargaon village in Ambajogai tehsil of the district, according to a forest official.

The black buck is an ungulate species of antelope native to the Indian subcontinent that has been listed as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List since 2003.
