Blistering heat wave claims one life in Jaipur

A 60-year-old beggar died due to intense heatwave conditions at Panditji-ka-Chauraha in the city here, the police said today.
Police said that the body was lying at Panditji-ka-Chauraha yesterday when a passerby informed the control room.
The body is yet to be identified, they said.

The beggar was wearing a blue-coloured payjama and an azure-coloured shirt, they added.
The body has been sent to mortuary for identification and postmortem, they said.
Jaipur recorded the highest temperature of 43.7 degree Celsius yesterday, about 5 degrees above normal.
