Body found in sea near Goarai beach

Body of a man was seen floating in sea near Gorai beach in suburban Borivali today, police said.

The deceased appears to be in his 40's, according to a senior official attached to Gorai police station.

As per the visiting card details found in his pocket, the deceased was a CA by profession and a resident of Bhyander area.

He has been identified as A S Shah.

The official said the family members of Shah have been informed as per the details mentioned on his visiting card.

The body was brought to the shore with the help of lifeguards on the spot, the official said.
 

Police suspect that Shah might have drown in sea near Bhyander and his body could have drifted to Gorai due to high tide.

According to the official, no external injuries were seen on the body.

A case of accidental death case has been registered by the police.
