Body of a teenage girl found in water-filled quarry

Body of an eight-year-old girl was recovered from a water-filled quarry at Maksud Nagar in Mumbra town in the district, police said here today.

The body was fished out from the quarry located near the Mumbra bypass, senior police inspector S M Mundhe of the Mumbra police station told PTI.

"The body bore injury marks on the face, head and private parts," the police said, adding it was sent for post-mortem and further investigations were on.
