Bovine smuggling bid foiled in J-K's Udhampur, 2 held

A bovines smuggling bid was foiled and two persons were arrested in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district Friday, police said.

On a tip-off, a police party intercepted a truck in the Sangroor area of the district and during its checking rescued 14 bovines, police officials said.

Two smugglers, Harbans Singh and Mohmmad Latif, were arrested, they said, adding that a case has been registered.
