In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old boy died after his throat was slit by a tin sheet which came flying during a dust storm at a fair ground in southwest Delhi's Chawla area, police said today.
The incident took place last evening when the boy, Amit, had gone to visit the fair with his friends and they were enjoying snacks at a makeshift eatery there.
Suddenly, a dust storm occurred and a tin sheet, which was installed to fence the fair ground, got uprooted and came flying towards the boys.

While Amit's friends ducked at the right time, he failed to notice the tin sheet which gashed his throat, police said.
People who witnessed the scene were horrified and the police were informed in no time.
The boy, who was bleeding profusely, was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
A case of negligence causing death has been registered in connection with the incident but no person has been arrested yet, police said.
