Boy killed after being struck by uncle

A one-and-a-half-year-old child died after being hit by his uncle during a fight in Ramkot area, police said here today.

The boy was struck by his maternal uncle Haripal while the latter was having a fight with his brother Tarachand in Beehat village last evening, they said.

The boy was seriously injured in the incident and died later.

On a complaint lodged by the victim's father Nekchand Pasi, a case has been registered and efforts are on to arrest Haripal, who is absconding, police said.
